Lessons are held in Hannah’s home in the Creston neighborhood on the northeast side of Grand Rapids. Nearby landmarks include City High, Frosty Boy, and Brigg’s Park.
Hannah and her husband have spent an extensive amount of time refurnishing and updating their home since purchasing in early 2021, and Hannah is now proud to welcome students into her home studio.
The studio has a brand new Kawai piano, an extensive music library, and is air conditioned.

Parents and grown up ride-givers are welcome to drop off their child and return at the end of the lesson, or may make themselves at home at my kitchen table (or if the weather is nice, we have a lovely 3 season porch!)
There is easy access to restroom facilities. Each entrance to my home requires climbing up a small number of stairs.
The closest bus stop is at Knapp and Plainfield, about half of a mile away.

The studio cats
Three friendly little lions reside at DeBoer Voice Studio. My home is frequently vacuumed and dusted to keep allergens at bay.
Genie was once a rather shy cat, but since the creation of DeBoer Voice Studio, she now believes that all of Hannah’s students are there to actually come see her. She especially likes to hang around for lessons with my younger students whose voices aren’t as loud. Her meow makes her sound like a little old lady, but she is only 4 years old. She is very friendly and loves attention and belly rubs!
Bobo is a rapscallion and when not asleep in a sunbeam, he likes to beg for attention, steal bread from the breadbox, and chase a toy around. He is very friendly and is kind of the family dog. Because he is part Siamese, Bobo is less allergenic than most cats. He is 3 years old and likes to take selfies with me (because we have the same hair color).
Scooby is our 3-legged celebrity cat. A video of his story influenced donors to give over $10,000 to the humane society at their 2022 fundraiser gala. Now he just yells at me for kibble. He is 3 years old and is very friendly, but skittish. He is the least likely to be present during lessons, but occasionally will come running down the stairs, meowing loudly.
